Babycakes

Earlier this month, on one of my many trips to New York this break, Taylor dragged me to a bakery.
She has recently made the decision to switch over her diet to become a fully fledged vegan and her options are limited in terms of the sweets department. When she'd told me that she had found a gluten free vegan bakery, I knew that we were going to be making a special stop on our trip. 

Founded by Erin McKenna, Babycakes, is a completely gluten-free, refined sugar-free, wheat free, soy-free, egg-free, dairy-free (!!!), kosher, 100% completely vegan bakery...AND ITS PINK!





























The VERDICT: Babycakes is a total slam dunk. To be completely honest, I was a bit wary when I first arrived...I mean no dairy, no refined sugars, no eggs...what's left?! Haha, no but the cupcakes themselves blew me away. I had a red velvet (obviously) and I will say that it is quite a tasty substitute for the real deal. Taylor even let me have a nibble of her vanilla and I was converted. Everything from the music playing to the uniforms the two lovely ladies working behind the counter had on really set the tone for the experience.
